A familiar sight last week on Iona....Well, ....except for the day I tried to get to the island and there were no ferries due to the high winds! I had to spend the night on Fionnphort on Mull because the 'Thursday boat' never came!

A familiar sight last week on Iona....Well, ....except for the day I tried to get to the island and there were no ferries due to the high winds! I had to spend the night on Fionnphort on Mull because the 'Thursday boat' never came!

I walked to the north beach before breakfast on a cold windy morning and marvelled at the beauty of the beach at the White Strand of the Monks.
