Iona: Stories from a Thin Place

The Ferry is Waiting!
A familiar sight last week on Iona....
Well, ....except for the day I tried to get to the island and there were no ferries due to the high winds! I had to spend the night on Fionnphort on Mull because the 'Thursday boat' never came!
Snow on the Hills!
Yes, it snowed on Mull and hail the size of peas on Iona!
Spring is Here!
A Week Back on Iona!
My favourite photo of the week!
I walked to the north beach before breakfast on a cold windy morning and marvelled at the beauty of the beach at the White Strand of the Monks.

Heath Spotted Orchid
A hardy, yet delicate flower found many places on Iona.
Dactylorhiza maculata.
